E-commerce giant Shopping.io has developed a collaboration with TRON that allows TRX holders to spend their tokens on Shopping.io’s platform. The collaboration with Shopping.io will also add to the value of TRON and other cryptocurrencies in the world.
Shopping.io’s newest collaboration is with TRON (TRX), one of the world’s largest and most popular blockchain-based operating systems. TRON uses the features of the blockchain and peer-to-peer (P2P) network technology to eliminate the middleman and allow content creators to sell their work directly to consumers.
Starting Aug. 25, TRX holders can spend their tokens on Shopping.io’s e-commerce platform and make Amazon (in the US, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK), eBay, Walmart, and Etsy purchases using them.
In a joint announcement of both companies, Arbel Arif, Shopping.io owner and CEO, said, “We are excited to give TRON holders the ability to shop with us.”
Further, he said this successful collaboration was one of the major goals of the company this year. By his words, this was in furtherance of the company’s vision of a future where cryptocurrencies enjoyed mainstream adoption. The company also perfected another partnership with the payment platform PayPal to facilitate payments, Arif said.
Also, Justin Sun, TRON’s founder, said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Shopping.io to allow our community to use TRX on major e-commerce websites like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. Shopping.io provides users with real-world applications for their portfolio.”
TRX token holders will also receive a 2% discount on all items when they use TRX to make purchases for two weeks since Aug. 25, 2021.
Shopping.io recently continues to push to partner with all of the top cryptocurrencies and other new crypto projects.
TRX now ranks 25th amid digital currencies, according to CoinGecko. It has a market capitalization of $5,995,989,678, by CoinMarketCap data. Founded in September 2017 by Justin Sun, TRON has delivered a series of achievements, including mainnet launch in May 2018, network independence in June 2018, and TRON virtual machine launch in August 2018. July 2018 also marked the acquisition of BitTorrent, a pioneer in decentralized services boasting approximately 100 million monthly active users.
