Crypto.сom signs multiyear sponsorship deal with PSG

    French professional soccer club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced a new three-year deal that will see digital asset trading platform Crypto.com become the club’s first official crypto platform partner.

    French outlet L’Equipe via Get French Football News report that PSG will receive €25 million – €30 million over a three-year contract. Negotiations had begun with the cryptocurrency website before Lionel Messi’s arrival this summer, with the value of the deal then increasing after the Argentine signed with Les Parisiens.

    “With this partnership, Paris Saint-Germain demonstrates once more its vision and leadership as a pioneer in areas such as lifestyle, esports, and digital,” said Marc Armstrong, PSG’s Chief Partnerships Officer. “It is an exciting time for cryptocurrency and we cannot wait to work with Crypto.com to bring new experiences to all of the club’s fans.”

    Kris Marszalek, Crypto.com’s co-founder and CEO, added: “Our mission since day one has been to accelerate the world’s transition to cryptocurrency. We do so by finding the best partners in the world, and Paris Saint-Germain is second to none. Between the brand visibility, stadium and team access, and collaborative development of NFTs, I have no doubt we’ll create new and exciting experiences for football fans around the world.”

    As per the partnership agreement, seen by CryptoPotato, Crypto.com will use its native token CRO to pay a significant portion of the sponsorship fee. The exchange will also house the collaborative and exclusive non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that the club will release in the coming months.

    It has been a busy period for Crypto.com, which also has F1 and NHL involvement, after deepening their ties with Italy’s Serie A via a multiyear innovation and technology deal which has seen two new player awards created and a branded VAR center.
