The World Blockchain Summit in Dubai hosted an exhibition boxing match between prominent crypto traders and top crypto Twitter entrepreneurs for the WBC Crypto Champion belt. The fights were supported by Amir Khan’s charity event, featuring an auction of memorabilia including crypto-assets and nonfungible tokens (NFTs).

What starting as a talk for a small friendly match became a crowded event with two-time World Boxing Champion Amir Khan and the Super Boxing League (SBL) as the organizer, in association with ByBit crypto exchange and World Boxing Council (WBC).

At the event, were held friendly boxing fights between top Crypto Twitter influencers, including Luke Martin (@VentureCoinist) vs Louis (@barneytheboi) and RookieXBT (@RookieXBT) vs loomlock.eth (@loomdart).

Louis and RookieXBT reached the final of the tournament, and RookieXBT won the WBC Crypto Champion belt, with Cointelegraph live-streaming the winning match.

According to the WBS press conference, the crypto traders-fighters have seriously trained for months with the motto “no parties, no drinks, just hard work.”

The boxing match also attracted many crypto enthusiasts worldwide participating in the charity event to donate to the Amir Khan Foundation.

Khan himself shared his excitement about the event with the crypto community:

“By associating with crypto, we will further augment our endeavor to reach like-minded groups who believe in innovation and transformation,” he said.

The 19th World Blockchain Summit has brought together many of the world’s leading crypto influencers, policymakers, key government delegates, media, family offices, HNIs, and other curated investors, among others, to foster the crypto and blockchain community across the globe.
